A Jewish Star Singing Competition.

Soul II Soul and COLlive.com – a Chabad Community News Service – presents the Jewish Star singing competition, where contestants compete for a chance to be named a “Jewish Star” at the Soul II Soul concert 5770.

The first of its kind in the Jewish music world, the competition seeks to discover the next Jewish singing star through online auditions and voting, with the final decision and winner announced live by a panel of judges at the Soul II Soul concert.

Contestants are invited to record a video of themselves singing the Jewish song of their choice. COLlive viewers around the world will vote on the video performances, giving a rating from 1-5.

The top vote-getters will then be reviewed by the three contest judges, world renowned Chasidic Superstar Avraham Fried, popular Frum Jewish comedian Mendy Pellin and the owner of the popular Neshmo Orchestra Michael Sojcher, who will choose three finalists.

The three finalists will each perform live at the Soul II Soul Concert in March of 2010, in front of the above mentioned judges and concert audience.

The judges will choose the final winner at the concert.
