Isaac Bitton Releases A New Single “Vetomar Dai”
Jewish fans everywhere have heard of Isaac Bitton aka Raya Mehemna. If you don’t remember their early albums, you are sure to remember the name from Benny Friedman’s most recent album “Kol Haneshama Sheli” with a cover of “Im Ein Ani Li” and the song “Fullfill Your Tefillah,” and Isaac from Dovid Gabay’s newest album “Hakol Letova” with the song Moneh Moneh.
Its been a while since composer/singer/musician Isaac Bitton released some original music himself. Well he is back with an all new single titled “Vetomar Dai.” As you can hear this song has a mix of Rock, Blues and Bitton’s favorite of all rhythms the 6/8 Moroccan Groove with 6/8 Riffs. Isaac intentionally started years ago to fuse the singing of blues and Moroccan mode because they are so similar. He says “it’s time people discover the incredible similarity between these two styles.” Isaac likes to call that blend “Andalus Blues.” The first time he recorded that kind of fusion, was in the song dedicated to the memory of his brother called “I Shorer Shira Leachi” many years ago. Bitton hopes that people will like “Vetomar Dai.” In this song we are asking Hashem to say Himself “DAI” enough is enough!!
