In An Acoustic Version: Eliyahu Chai & Shalom Ivri Perform “L’hiyot Adam”

Don’t let the appearance of Eliyahu Chaj, a singer, poet, and composer, fool you. Beneath his Charedi exterior lies a fascinating and inspiring life story. He grew up as a child prodigy who performed at events from the age of 5. When he turned 18, he tried to enter the “Kochav Nolad” music competition, but at the most important moment, his voice betrayed him. Eliyahu felt that it was not for nothing and that it was precisely this obstacle that made him return to his Jewish roots. He plunged into the depths of Torah and became a prominent kollel avrech.

In recent years, Eliyahu Chai has returned to stages and studios with works that he wrote and composed. His musical productions have been warmly embraced by the audience and the media.

The acoustic medley ‘Lihiyot Adam‘ from the songs of the late Zohar Argov is performed by Eliyahu Chai together with his good friend Shalom Ivri, who also started out as a child prodigy and conquered the stages and events of the Charedi sector.

Among the dozens of well-known songs by Zohar, only three were chosen: ‘Lihiyot Adam‘ – ‘Al Nivakesh‘ – ‘Ha’Dvarim Hayafim BaOlam’, songs that are also played in the Charedi scene, at events and on radio stations.

The medley is performed by the two in an acoustic arrangement by Mor Ben Yair, and accompanied by violin by Meir Mishali.
