“I Only Have One Like You”: Rabbi Yitzi Ackerman On New Single “Ata Meyuchad”
Sometimes the most powerful songs come from the least expected places. That’s exactly what happened to musician Rabbi Yitzi Ackerman, who came to play at the ‘Be’er Yitzchak’ yeshiva. During the intermission he heard the boys singing a text together that feels like a personal letter from the Creator of the world. These simple and touching words captured him deeply, and today they are released to the world as his new single “Ata Meyuchad.”
The song was written by Shimi Zilber from a place of daily struggle that is familiar to every person. In a world where the evil inclination tries to put down, accuse, and create a sense of self-esteem, this song comes to remind us of the simple truth: with all the ups and downs, the Holy One, blessed be He, is proud of us.
“This message of ‘I have tens of thousands of angels, I have only one like you’ is a message that can strengthen every Jew,” says Rabbi Yitzi. “The production of the song took nearly six months, during the ‘Shaagas Ha’Ari’ operation, with quite a few delays and disappointments along the way. But with the simple belief that everything will be blessed by Hashem, it’s finally out there. A huge thank you to everyone who helped along the way.”
