Gedalia Penner Releases Debut Music Video – Baruch Hagever

Gedalia Penner is fresh on the contemporary Jewish music scene with his first original single/music video Baruch Hagever, produced by Yaakov Feldstein. While Gedalia continues to hold the title of Musical Director for Y-Studs A Cappella, this is his first venture into solo work.

Baruch Hagever seeks to express one’s individual journey and the struggles encountered. We, as Jews, are promised that faith will bring us good life “as a tree by the waters”, but there are times when this message is clearer, and others when we feel confused or abandoned. Sometimes, we’re not even sure what we want, or what’s going on in the depths of our hearts. Indeed, Gedalia wrote this song in his gap year in Israel, a time of great personal development and spiritual growth for any young Jewish person. This evocative song is a whirlwind of intense and raw emotions, meant to connect the listener to a deep part of themselves and prompt them to explore their relationship with G-d and their direction in life.

Gedalia brought on some of the industry’s major talents, including Yaakov Feldstein who recorded and produced, Aryeh Kunstler who mixed the track, Mike Kalajian who mastered, Ruchie Gross who designed the single’s cover art, and Shlomo Weprin who produced, filmed and edited the music video.
