Eitan Katz: “Beis Hashem”

Eitan Katz: “Beis Hashem”

Singer and composer Eitan Katz is a well-known figure in the original Chassidic Jewish music industry, which has become his trademark over the years. During his years of musical activity, mainly in the US,
Katz managed to release 17 successful albums while remaining true to his unique style, which combines Jewish Torah content with melodies that touch the soul directly.

“The new album, “Beis Hashem”, is the 18th album I have released. The first one came out when I was about 18 years old,” reveals Eitan Katz. In general, Eitan‘s goal in releasing albums over the years has been consistent:
to instill in the heart of every Jew who listens to it the power of Jewish music – whether it is a Kumzitz song, or a dance song.
As befits Eitan‘s agenda, there is no electronic music on the album. Only real instruments. The album features 11 original Jewish compositions written by Eitan. “I composed all the songs without having anything else in mind, I simply composed the melody.” The album is beautiful and diverse. For example, Beis Hashem, the album’s theme song, was composed in a shul in Poland when Eitan thought about all the Jews who, over the centuries, entered and left the synagogues there, and unfortunately have now become museums. It is based on the verse “I rejoiced when they said to me שמחתי באומרים לי בית ה׳ נלך״ and expresses the joy of seeing people returning to the synagogue. The song Nigun Kinyan belongs to the Kinyan Masechta group, a group of homeowners who study Torah every day and repeat their studies to buy Kinyan Masechta. Eitan composed this melody in honor of their special event. The last song on the album was inspired by the sefer “Tzidkascha Tzedek” by Rabbi Tzadok HaCohen from Lublin. is Yom Zeh that Eitan Katz: “Beis Hashem” sang with his children. “I can’t wait to hear you sing the new songs,” says Eitan, “and I can’t wait to hear how you bring these melodies into your lives, into your celebrations, into your Shuls…”.
