After a chance meeting between DJ Izik and Singer Shua Kessin, the wheels were set in motion to create this amazing song. The two come from very different backgrounds musically. While DJ Izik is playing music nightly at weddings/simchas and events in his exceptional DJ style, Shua is a world renowned singer / composer, known for his acoustic style performances & great baal tefilla / chazzan.

No one would ever think that these two artists would collaborate on new music, let alone an EDM (Electronic Dance Music) track.
Shua tells, “I have always enjoyed listening to this style music, and envisioned creating such a hit for a while.” The two were fiddling around with different compositions and ideas until they came across this amazing song which DJ Izik had created just the raw music for. After hearing it, Shua‘s brain started churning and realized the potential of the music, where he went on to create the uplifting melody with lyrics based off the deep message the songs displays.

Always There” has a special message which can help you find peace & meaning throughout the trials life may throw at you. We all know & believe in Hashem and his master plan. When times are dark, we always pray for his help. However, the message in this song goes deeper than that. We must remember that he WAS ALWAYS THERE. He was the one who planned and gave us those trials and tribulations to begin with, knowing that you needed it for whatever reasons we can’t comprehend.

As the song goes on to say, “In midst of troubling times, I know it’s your design”.
The concept stems from tehillim were David Hamelech tell us
“גַם כִּי-אֵלֵךְ בְּגֵיא צַלְמָוֶת לֹא-אִירָא רָע כִּי-אַתָּה עִמָדִי”.
“Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of Death, I will fear no evil for you are with me”.

The deeper meaning here of “You are with me” means, you planned for me to have the need to walk the valley of death. Therefore, “I do not fear” because you planned it for me and will remain with me throughout.

This hardship is for my benefit, since Hashem only does what’s best for us. Thus knowing & believing this, will bring us to peace & stability throughout our troubling moments.

What a more apropos time like Sefira, as we mourn the death of R’ Akiva’s students as well as a time where we are constantly being surrounded by hatred/antisemitism and shootings, to release this song. Through the amazing connection between these two artists, they were able capture the emotion of this concept in a moving emotional song yet with a modern DJ EDM twist.

It is the hope of both Shua and Izik that those who hear the song will connect to its message. Whether you find yourself in moments of hardships or even prosperity, this lesson is understood. You are given everything you need tailored for you directly from Hashem with pure love. The message is clear – Hashem IS, WAS, & WILL ALWAYS be there.

אַתָּה עִמָּדִי / ALWAYS THERE
1rst low:
Surrounded by darkness
Confusion & despair
Searchin for you
Yet I know that you’re there

I feel so empty
No strength to endour
I have waited
To feel you as before

I’m always there
Far yet so near
Even as you walk in the valley of death
Nothin to fear
Am always beside you,
Was there to guide you
I’m always there

Was always there
Was always there
Always there

Always there
Always there
Always there

2nd low:
In midst of troubling times
Life can be so unkind
Bloodshed, hatred
Yet I know its ur design

Fears glaring at me
Almost at the edge
Yet I’m heartened
For I trust in Your pledge

You’re always there
Far yet so near
גַּם כִּי-אֵלֵך בְּגֵיא צַלְמָוֶת לֹא-אִירָא רָע
You pull all the strings,
Cause all that life brings
כִּי-אַתָּה עִמָּדִי
You’re always there
Always there….
