Debut Single from Mendy Worch – Bunim – Now Available!
He has long been on the radar of those in the know and with the release of his first single, Mendy Worch is about to breathe new life into the world of Jewish music.
Worch has been singing since age five and he sees music as a powerful force that connects people to their yiddishkeit. Hard at work for the last two years on his eagerly anticipated upcoming album, Worch is sharing his first track titled Bunim.
Co-written by Worch and Boruch Sholom Blesofsky, Bunim strikes the perfect balance, combining the warmth and authenticity of a traditional Chasidic tune with the excitement of contemporary music. Full of heart and tinged with nostalgia, while incorporating a sense of freshness and creativity, Bunim is a song that takes up residence in your heart and leaves you humming long after the music fades away. The music on Bunim, which was masterfully produced and arranged by Ruli Ezrachi, features a smoking hot guitar rhythm by the renowned Nachman Dreyer of the Freilach Band and deep, uplifting lyrics adapted from the works of the Chasidic master, R’ Levi Yitzchok Mi’Bardichev, Der Heiliger Barditchever, z”l.
With the release of Bunim, Worch invites Jewish music lovers to join him on a musical adventure that reinvigorates the themes and ideas of Chasidic music, allowing it to stay true to its roots while giving it room to grow and evolve.
While some consider music to be a pleasant past time, Worch takes his music much more seriously.
“The music I make today will be a Chasidic classic to someone someday,” said Worch. That’s a big responsibility”.
