Beri Weber – Hamelech [Official Music Video]
Uman Rosh Hashanah has become the biggest Jewish migration outside of Eretz Yisroel.
Rosh Hashanah is the beginning of the Hebrew Calendar because its the Birthday of Adam and the day he and a Chava ate from the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil.
As a result this day is now known as “The day of Judgment”, and the day that the Jewish people take upon themselves to crown Hashem as King of the universe and with that we try to sweeten the decrees.
The Heiliga Rebbe Reb Nachman of Breslov said:
“Everything about me is Rosh Hashana!”
This is not something I inherited from my family
Hashem Yisborach gave this to me completely as a gift
“It goes without saying that all of you (the ones who came to him ) are certainly dependent on my Rosh Hashana, BUT THE ENTIRE WORLD TOO, IS DEPENDENT ON IT!!!”
He even asked to make a Cruzz and announce about the importance of being at the Tzaddik Emes on the day of Rosh Hashanah
Quotes like these is what drove people who believe in the promises of Rabbi Nachman to make it a really important part of life, and that is being in Uman for Rosh Hashanah.
In the past 30 years, more and more people from all over, across the entire globe, have related to the teachings of Reb Nachman and started to flock and gather and strive to be part of the Kibbutz Rosh Hashanah.
It is estimated that close to fifty thousand Jews come each and every year to fulfill the request of Reb Nachman.
There is a feeling of “redemption” in the air and in the atmosphere of the streets.
The joy, the unity and the glory of getting closer to Hashem, finding meaning in who we are and ultimately connecting to Hashem “Broiv Am” (in large assembly) is what strikes everyone throughout this festive experience.
This year marks the 10th anniversary that I have been merited to serve as a Baal Tefilas Shachris in Uman Rosh Hashana.
Your are all cordially invited to take part in the big Minyan at Scheiner’s.
How beautiful it is to see when thousands of Yiden from across the globe congregate as one person, one heart to coronate Hashem.
