Avinu Malkeinu – Shira Choir ft. Shulem Lemmer
On behalf of all of us at Shira, we welcome you into the month of Tishrei, during which everyone feels a deeper emotion and closer connection to Hashem.
We are both thrilled and proud to present this beautifully orchestrated video, in which renowned tenor and longtime Shira voice talent Shulem Lemmer delivers a heart-felt performance of Avinu Malkeinu accompanied by the Shira Choir.
Be captivated as we recreate this stunning classic from distinguished composer Moshe (Max) Janowski. This song has been adopted in its entirety by a number of famous cantors and singers across traditional and contemporary music genres. The remastered music has been arranged by the very talented, Mendy Hershkowitz and conducted by Shira Choir’s musical director, Yoely Horowitz.
This release comes just in time for the High Holy Days, as we wish you a sweet, happy and prosperous New Year. Best wishes in every form of song we know.
Special thanks to Sruly Weinberger for introducing to us this beautiful song.
