Meir Ben Dror In A New Single – “Meloch

Ahead of the Yamim Noraim and the chagim, singer and songwriter Meir Ben Dror is launching a new and exciting single – “Meloch“. It is a song full of energy, in these days of Jewish connection and joy as we make Hashem our King.

Meir composed most of the melody on Rosh Hashanah 5765, while studying at the “Or Etzion” Yeshiva, in powerful moments of shared dancing with Rabbi Chaim Druckman zt”l and the students of the yeshiva. He completed the third part of the song, which became the central part, a few years later.

Over the years, he kept the melody close to his heart, and only now, 21 years later, has he chosen to publish it, in tribute to Rabbi Druckman zt”l, who passed away on Meir’s birthday, on Chanukah 5783. “Beyond the personal commemoration, I hope the song will lift the spirit, instill joy and renewal, and connect us all to our Father in Heaven as we begin the new year,” he says.

Alongside the song, a unique animated clip is also being released, visually illustrating the words of the prayer – the reign of HaShem over the entire world. Meir himself appears in the clip as a cartoon character, which adds a creative and original layer to the experience of the song.

The musical production is by Ami Cohen, who gave the song a contemporary, immersive, and energetic Chassidic arrangement that combines rich tradition with a modern, refreshing sound.
