A Moment Before The Selichot: Vocalist Yanky Roth & Arranger Yanki Landau In A Revival of “Salachti”
A moment before the beginning of the recitation of Selichot, vocalist Yanki Roth presents a new rendition of Rabbi Shmuel Brazil‘s ancient melody with the words “Vayomer Hashem, Salachti Kidvarecha.”
The familiar melody, associated with the atmosphere of the days of Selichot and mercy, receives a renewed vocal performance in Roth’s voice, while maintaining the original character of the melody.
The performance is released ahead of the days of Selichot, with the words “Salachti Kidvarecha” taking on a special meaning and introducing the atmosphere of the High Holy Days.
