On The Occasion of Wedding Season & Lag BaOmer: Shay Viner With A New Wedding Song: “Kanfei HaShchina”

Shay Viner, the wonder prince of religious music, returns for the wedding season with a new single, but this time it is much more than a single. “Kanfei HaShchina” is a song born from the depths of real life: mourning, healing and the encounter between a broken soul and a holy and pure wedding.
About a year ago, a Jewish family was struck by a tragedy: a little boy suffocated and died at the nanny’s. The eldest daughter of the family, who raised her little brother as a second mother, broke down. The grief did not leave her – until she found solace in Shay Viner‘s songs.
When her wedding day arrived, her father turned to Shay Viner with a rare request: to come to her joy and enter the wedding with a song. Shay and his father did not hesitate. “We have a wedding song that we are waiting for the right moment for,” they said – and that was the moment. The bride did not know. It was a complete surprise. And there, under the canopy, Shay sang “Kanfei HaShchina” – and the entire hall was filled with tears.
Channel 13 also came to document the moving event, and the footage captured the moment Shay sang under the chuppah. The official music video for the song is essentially that same live recording: one camera, one shot, and an emotion that cannot be faked. The recording and filming were done with full written permission from the groom and the bride. Everything you see is real.
Kanfei HaShchina” was written by Rami Lev and Noam Lev. Rami, who has written many Israeli hits has previously written several hits for Shay. It is a chuppah song that talks about two souls meeting, about ten steps to a white chuppah, about the blessing of HaShem, and the “Amen” prayer that all the wishes of the heart will come true.
Shay adds a deep emotional dimension to a song that was born to move and comfort. After “Hamikdalohr Sheli,” “Ten Li” and “Yavo Shalom” – “Kanfei HaShchina” marks a milestone: Shay Viner steps off the stage and enters the heart.
