Yonatan Shachar Releases New & Exciting Single Inspired by His Father: “Derech Lachzor”
Singer and songwriter Yonatan Shachar releases a new single called “Derech Lachzor,” the first single from the upcoming album he is currently working on.
Shachar, who burst onto the scene with his acclaimed debut album “Kol Mah She’ata,” continues to establish his status as one of the most sincere and profound composers in Israeli music. Over the years, he has stood out with his personal and touching writing, alongside melodies full of emotion and musical precision. His songs, including “Al Taamin Lo,” “Boreach,” “Vayihi Ohr,” and others, have been widely played and loved by the audience.
The new single “Derech Lachzor” deals with the inner journey of a person searching for meaning, hope, and answers. It is a song about inner wanderings, about moments of loss of direction, but also about the belief that there is always a possibility of returning to the light.
The central chorus line – “Yesh Detech Lachzor” was born from a personal and moving moment in Shachar’s life. According to him, the inspiration for the lyrics came from something his father said to him shortly before his passing – a sentence that left a deep mark on him and became the core of the song.
Musically, the song is wrapped in a retro-tinged sound, inspired by classic rock music, which gives it depth and warmth and emphasizes the intimate and moving atmosphere.
