Umul’ah Ha’Aretz: Levi Farkas & Itzik Lifshitz In An Innovative Performance of A Chabad Tune
Toward the Siyum HaRambam, singer Levi Farkas and keyboardist Itzik Lifshitz present for the first time an innovative, sweeping and bouncy performance of the well-known Chabad tune “Umul’ah Ha’Aretz.”
The tune carries a fundamental and powerful message, and the Rambam chose to end his book with the verse: “״ומלאה הארץ דעה את ה׳ כמים לים מכסים״-And the land is filled with knowledge of Hashem, like waters covering the sea,” the knowledge that the entire world is filled with Hashem, faith, and meaning.
The new performance combines an electronic arrangement, while maintaining the authenticity of the tune.
