“Mameh” – An Emotional Live Performance by Meilech Braunstein, Shimmy Markowitz Band & Tnuah Choir

Mameh” is a deeply moving live performance captured live at a Sheva Brachos, featuring Meilech Braunstein, the Shimmy Markowitz Band, and the soulful harmonies of the Tnuah Choir. Composed by Dudi Kalish and brothers, this song gives voice to the deepest kind of connection.

The lyrics open with a child’s honest plea to his mother — longing for her warmth, protection, and the comfort of being under her care, while quietly hoping that the person he has become brings her nachas and joy. From that intimate moment, the message gently expands into a reflection of our relationship with Hashem.

In uncertain and challenging times, we turn to Hashem the way a child turns to his mother — asking for protection, closeness, and reassurance. At the same time, Mame expresses a deeper hope: that Hashem guides us, strengthens us, and helps us grow into the people we are meant to be, worthy of the love and devotion invested in us.

Emotional, sincere, and deeply resonant, Mameh is a tefillah in song — a tribute to trust, growth, and the unbreakable bond between parent and child, and between Hashem and His nation.
