On The Occasion of The Yahrtzeit: Eldad Tasa Presents: “Ima Rachel”
Eldad Tasa launches “Ima Rachel“, a moving song born following the news of the return of the captives to their home – a moment of chessed Hashem that restored hope and faith in the hearts of the people of Israel united in prayer. Tasa says that the song was inspired by that day – the day of the the Ushpizsn of Yaakov – on which the writer remembered the pain and strength Rachel Imeinu, who in every generation continues to pray and protect her sons.
The song is based on the Midrash Eicha Rabbah, which describes how only Rachel’s prayer was able to arouse mercy in heaven and promise: “Mini Kolaich Meebechi… Vishavu Banim Ligvulam” With warm words and melody, Tasa connects the eternal story of the mother of the nation with the painful and moving reality of today – one great prayer of a people who believe that thanks to Rachel’s tears, the sons will always return home.
Along with the release of the song, it was learned that a new single by Eldad Tasa and his brother Meydad Tasa will also be released soon – an intriguing collaboration that continues the exciting and touching musical line of the two.
