A message from Yissachar about the new song.

Like most of us, I never met the hostages and most likely never will. Yet, somehow, their pain lived inside me. For nearly two years of war, our hearts carried a sorrow that words could barely grasp… a silence only our nation could understand.

When the images and videos of their release appeared, the song “Back Home Again” was born. It wasn’t planned; it simply arose from that moment when a deep, knotted ache inside finally began to loosen. I kept thinking of them in the darkness, somewhere beneath the earth, and how helpless we all felt, knowing that only God could, and would, reach them.

Watching them return home felt like witnessing a glimpse of redemption, of pure, unfiltered joy. At first, I thought about cutting parts of the song and keeping it short. But this song isn’t meant to be short; it’s meant to remember. It’s a song for us and for generations to come — a song to remind us of the power of hope, the strength of faith, and the miracle of holding on even when the night feels endless.

And still, even in this joy, there are tears. Tears for those still waiting, for those still lost. We carry them with us in every note. May this song be a prayer for peace among us, for the return of all our brothers and sisters, and for the rebuilding of Yerushalayim soon in our days.
