Binyamin Leifer & Chaim Pollak Thrill With “Avinu Malkainu”
The couplet “Avinu Malkainu“, the heartfelt call that accompanies the Jewish people during the days of mercy and forgiveness, now receives a new and exciting arrangement, a soulful performance by the young and energetic singer Binyamin Leifer, together with Chaim Pollak.
They are joined by the esteemed arranger Naftali Landsman, who, in an unusual move, also took an active part in the singing. The three artists unite their voices into an original string, connecting melodies of the past with new aromas – and gives “Avinu Malkainu” a contemporary and inspiring soundtrack.
The musical concept travels throughout the holiday season: under the tallit during the blowing of the tikiot, at the Erev Yom Kippur meal, on the holy day itself, to the Tzilla Dehaimanuta in the Sukkah and the Simchat Torah dances.
