One Tefillah, Six Melodies: Malchut, Laufer & The Great Singers – ‘U’vnuchu’ Medley

On the eve of the holiday of Matan Torah, another masterpiece from the workshop of the ‘Malchut‘ choir and the great Chassidic singers – Dudi Kalish, Yisrael Adler, Gershi Uri, conducted by Benny Laufer: The tefilla ‘U’vnuchu Yomar‘, recited at the time of returning of the Sefer Torah into the Aron Kodesh, is given a moving musical medley in the form of the six finest melodies of all time composed to the words of the special prayer, and combined into one musical key, in the best tradition of Pinchas Bichler‘s royal medleys.

The spectacular live performance from the Hachnasas Safer Torah meal donated by the Beitel family from the USA to the Tolna Beit Midrash in Ashdod, in memory of the late Rabbi Yeshaya of Kerestir.

It begins with the composition of Rabbi Moshe Goldman A’H ‘U’vnuchu‘ and continues with the cantorial ‘Kohanecha Yilbishu Tzedek‘ by Yossele Rosenblatt A’H. Next is ‘Ki Lekach Tov‘ – also from Moshe Goldman‘s Beit Midrash – and ‘Eitz Chaim He‘ by Eli Laufer, originally performed by Yomi Levi, and ends with ‘Hashiveinu Hashem Eilecha‘ a Belz bugging, composed by Rabbi Pinchas Freidman, and ‘Eitz Chaim He‘ by Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz, originally performed by Mordechai Ben-David and Motty Steinmetz.
