Yossi Green “Shoshanas Yakov”

The composition YG Shoshanas Yakov was especially written in honor of the precious and beloved Rebbe of Munkatch, R’ Moshe Leib Rabinowitz, שליט”א. The different parts of the composition are meant to reflect the deeper meaning of the text which synopsizes the Story of Purim. The opening phraseשושנת יעקב צהלה ושמחה meaning the Rose of Yakov, refers to כלל ישראל being Radiant and Happyבראותם יחד תכלת מרדכי when they saw their צדיק הדור triumphantly riding the streets of Shushan, Persia, adorned in royal blue wool garments of Techeles!

The composition, the musical arrangements by Mendy Hershkowitz and the masterful vocal production by Yossi Tyberg all came together with great סייעתא דשמיא from conception to completion in less than 36 hours in an herculean effort to deliver the song to the Rebbe before Purim of תשפ”ה!

Lyrics:
