Shia Heshel Scharf With A New Song For Lag B’omer: “Kedei R’ Shimon”
Get ready to feel inspired by the powerful melody of “Kedei R’ Shimon,” a beautiful song honoring the memory of Reb Shimon Bar Yochai and the spiritual energy of Lag Beomer. Sung by Shia Heshel Scharf, the song captures the essence and spirit of this significant day.
The inspiration for this song came to Shia Heshel after a recent visit to R’ Shayala in Kerestir, where he felt a deep connection to the spiritual energy of the place. With Lag Beomer just around the corner, Shia knew he wanted to create something special with an uplifting message in honor of the day and in the memory of Reb Shimon.
“I actually made a song for Reb Shaya, but I wasn’t able to release it,” says Shia Heshel. “So I decided to do this song for Lag Beomer instead.”
Shia Heshel got right to it with the help of Moshe Krauss and Zisha Schnitzler to create a beautiful melody that captures the essence and spirit of Lag Beomer. The lyrics,
כדי ר שמעון לסמוך עליו
ר שמעון מיר זענען געקומן צו דיר
ר שמעון השפעות אהן א שיעור
ר שמעון עפן פאר אונז דיין טיהר
which were written by Shia, captures the power and beauty of Reb Shimon and the great day of lag Beomer.
The track, which was made at MK Studios, features a choir of talented singers who add their voices to the harmonious melody. With its kumzits flavor and uplifting message, Kedei R’ Shimon is sure to transport you to a place of spiritual connection and joy this Lag Beomer.
Listen, enjoy and share with family and friends!
