Gadi Fuchs & His Son Shmuel Sing “Sheyibaneh”

I have the best memories of recording in the studio with my best friends, Eli Schwebel and Ari Cukier. Together, we are Lev Tahor.
We released five albums, and have tremendous nachas from them.

Today, I have a family of my own, and music is always felt in our home. My oldest son Shmuel plays guitar, and I play piano.
Every motzei shabbos, right after havdalah, we go straight to the living room/ music room, and jam together.
Father and son. We have amazing heartfelt memories of those nights.

Last year in the middle of Corona, Shmuel was brushing up on his guitar skills, and has significantly improved.
I said, “hey, let’s write a song together!”
I’ve written many songs on the Lev Tahor albums, but I’ve never written with my son before.
I was excited.

We wanted to write about how we’re feeling the dark galus more than ever before.
If all Jews come together as brothers and friends, then that will rebuild the Beis Hamikdash.
And so, Sheybaneh was born.
This message spoke to us in a very deep way. Achdus is the answer that will bring Mashiach.

So we wrote Sheyboneh last year, and now recently recorded it by Aryeh Kunstler‘s studio.
Shmuel played guitar, and I played piano. Just like we do at home.

Come to think of it, I don’t recall many albums or songs that has a father and son singing, playing instruments, and compsong together.
For us, it’s all about father and son, and music.
We hope and daven, that the lyrics of “Sheybaneh Beis Hamikdash Bimhaira Biyameinu” should come true, speedily in our days, Amen.
