Betzalel Levin – Tair Neri – Light My Candle
This is a song that I love dearly and have sang many times with all my heart. My deepest thanks to my special friend Chaim Meir Wertzimer for giving me the honor of producing his song. Most of the song was composed while sitting near the Chanukah candles on a cold winter night in N.Y.
“When the soul shines, even the darkest of heavens emit a pleasant light” (R’ Avraham Yitzchak Hacohen Kook)
Each of us, at our essence, is a soul which shines through even the darkest moments and most negative experiences this world has to offer. May we all experience the joy of being in touch with the part of ourselves which always shines bright. Our soul, our נשמה.
