Yaakov Shwekey & Zemiros Choir | SHIVISI | Acapella Version
Superstar singer Yaakov Shwekey has performed for thousands of people at some of the biggest venues around the world. He has also released over 16 albums and several DVDs covering everything from kumzitz to simcha albums to several collection albums. The one genre he’s never covered was acapella, until now.
Yoily Polatseck presents the FIRST ever acapella single featuring Yaakov himself, in a song off of his latest hit album MUSICA. Shivisi was written by Elisha Freedman and featured choir by Zemiros Choir. As a matter of fact, the relationship between Zemiros and Shwekey goes back a few albums. “This song is so heartfelt,” says Yaakov. “While other amazing songs on MUSICA already have been released as music videos (Yishtabach Shemo, Your Time), I felt that during this sefira season, it was the perfect time to highlight this song with acapella and bring it to the front.” Shivisi acapella was created and arranged by Yoily Polasteck himself and features the harmonic voices of his Zemiros Choir. With each day that brings more tragedies, we must hold fast and remember “Shivisi Hashem L’Negdi Somid.” Always keep Hashem in front of us. May we all be Zoche to the Geula Sheleima Bekarov.
