Simchas Beis Hashoeiva – Rechnitz Family
Every year, R’ Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz organizes a Simchas Beis Ha’shoeva in the Succah of the hotel that he stays at for Chag in Yerushalayim. Last year’s was a sort of abbreviated release concert for his album Shir, and some of the best of his songs from that album were performed there, together with a number of Chassidic music stars. This year they had an incredible musical evening, and a number of new compositions were performed as well. A number of stars performed there as well, such as Ohad, Motty Steinmetz, Itzik Dadya, Ruvi Banet, Benny Friedman, R’ Boruch Chait, Moshe Mendelovitch, Uziah Tzadok, and even MBD came by to say hello. Gershon Freishtat and his orchestra accompanied the event.
At some point during the event, Rechnitz surprised the crowd by bringing out R’ Eli Kaplan to sing a new song called Shak’ah Ha’Chamah.
