A New Album For Avi Ben Yisrael “Ashir Lechvod Chaveirim”
Singer Avi Ben Yisrael has not rested for even a moment in order to be able to release his new album, which contains 13 tracks with original and classic arrangements and tunes. Some of the best musicians, composers, and arrangers worked on the album together with Avi and produced an impressive result. This is the 33rd new album from Avi, and it is titled Ashir Lechvod Chaveirim. The Piyut that opens the album is a song written by R’ Yaakov Abuchatzeira in honor of R’ Shimon Bar Yochai and his Yahrtzeit last week on Lag Ba’omer, to an entirely new arrangement. The Piyut that finishes off the album is A’Ufah Eshkonah in the classical tune, as was sung by the Paytanim of the previous generation. In the new album you will also hear a new cover of the hit song Va’Afilu B’Hastura, with Yeled Peleh Nehorai Turgeman, which has already over 250k views and has been performed for R’ Yitzchak Yosef, the Rishon Leziyyon.
