Bereshit Olam – Shlomi Shabbat (Gabriel Tumbak Cover)

In February last year , producer Avi Newmark introduced music fans to newcomer Gabriel Tumbak. Born and bred in France, the 24 year old Tumbak has been singing since age 11 and has been studying with French Chasidic singer Michael Saura, who he credits with giving him that extra nudge to make his mark in the Jewish music world. To date Tumbak has released two singles. The first his debut single titled “Kol Haneshama“, composed by 8th Day’s Shmuli Marcus and the second “Malchei Hamelachim” a cover of the song by popular Israeli superstar Eyal Golan. Both songs won over the hearts of music fans worldwide and racked up over 13 weeks on the NSN Top 9@9 on the Nachum Segal Network.

Recently Gabriel was with his dear friend the singer Michael Saura in his home studio. The two were listening to music and playing piano and guitar when the song Bereshit Olam by Israeli singer Shlomi Shabbat came over the speakers. The two played the song just for fun. After being overwhelmed by the emotions the song brought out from simply playing the song with just piano and voice, the two decided to release the song as a single. Presenting the simple and stunning cover of the Shlomi Shabbat hit song “Bereshit Olam.” The song is being released with a simple music video and as a FREE download on Dropbox.
