Yitzchak Meir & Malchus Choir “Koh Echsof”

In anticipation of his upcoming Shabbos album, singer Yitzchak Meir is releasing a surprise track of the famed Shabbos Zemer “Koh Echsof”, in which he features the Malchus choir. However, in this track, the zemer is not given the traditional musical arrangement that we all know, rather, its redone as a medley of various composers that have been released for this beautiful song. The first verse is done in the tune of R’ Yosef Tzvi Breyer, from Belz. The second stanza comes from Yehuda Green. The third stanza of Veyihiyu Rachamecha is done in the composition of Eli Beer, and the final stanza, Hashabbas, is put to Pinky Weber’s arrangement.

For this track, Yitzchak Meir invites the Chassidic Malchus choir for the first time, under the leadership of arrangement Pinchas Bichler, who gives the production a warm Shabbos sound and feeling.

This Shabbos album contains within it 4 Shabbos albums that have already been released and sold in tens of previous versions.
Yitzchak Meir also joins up with various other artists in this album, such as Dovid D’or, Aharon Razel, Yossi Gil, Avi Benyon, Yosef Karduner, and others.
