Singer Yitzchak Meir is releasing a new album for the Yomim Noroim. The song “Ochilo” on the album was composed by the talented Rabbi Hillel Palai. This new version by singer Yitzchak Meir features special guest Udi Davidi.

This album is another step in the soundtrack recording of the annual Jewish year. Preceded by a trilogy of albums on my Shabbat nigunim and pizmonim which were released long ago, and this album is the next step.

This album collection features collaborations with some of the Israel’s best artists, including; Udi Davidi – Avremi Roth – Ishai Ribot – and some amazing uets. Songs like “Ochilo Lokel,”, “U’nesaneh Tokef,” “Machnisei Rachamim,” “Chamol,” “Haneshama Loch,” “Rachmono Deonei,” and and other tefillot from Selichot of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Eran Klein masterfully arranged the album using a unique combination of ethnic instruments like a bouzouki, integrated with tools from the klezmer genre like the accordion, clarinet, violin and more.
