“Sh’tei Achi” Nikmat Ha’Tractor & Special Guest Yoram Chazan
Nikmat Ha’Tractor is a successful Israeli rock band. They released their first album over twenty years ago, and on it was a special rock-style version of the Piyut “Adon Ha’Selichot”. From then on they released eight more albums, in which they did other Piyutim such as D’ror Yikra, Kel Norah Alilah, and Echad Mi Yodeah.
For the duration of their existence, the band has considered itself in the rock-folk genre, and specifically in a Mediterranean-Jewish style. During the mourning period for his father, Avi Baleli, the singer of the band, turned to one of the Piyutim of R’ Moshe Ibn Ezra, whose words he connected to and immediately composed a tune for, and then continued to compose more tunes for more of his Piyutim. He ended up composed ten of these Piyutim, which will be featured on their next album, to be released in the upcoming months.
About two months ago the band released their first single from their upcoming album, and now they are releasing their second, “Sh’tei Achi”, which guest features Yoram Chazan.
Nikmat Ha’Tractor will celebrate the release of their album “Mah L’Ahuvi”, which should be released for the Chagim, in a special concert for the “Mekudeshet” festival in Yerushalayim, and will feature Shlomo Bar as a guest. The concert will take place on Wednesday, August 21st/ 15 Elul, in Migdal David, Yerushalayim.
