TorahTreasures.com website for kids released!

A free website specially for frum children has just been uploaded. Called TorahTreasures.com, the new website offers hours of education/entertainment, featuring kosher videos, games and audio stories. The videos and audio can be easily streamed direct from the website.

Chaim Hershkowitz is the founder and driving force behind TorahTreasures. The creator of the popular DVD series “Mitzvah Boulevard” believes that the timing and the demand is there for a site specializing in kosher content for children. “With computers standard in many homes today the need for Kosher and Torah value entertainment is imperative to the future of the next generation,” he stated.

Chaim points to Amazon.com to make his point. Currently, their catalog lists over 25,000 “kids” DVDs. Most of which have the sole purpose of marketing and selling products to children, while others have violent and derogatory undertones. In terms of “kosher” DVDs, there aren’t many options. Many videos are no longer available. Others are over 10 years old. Still others do not have the production values that today’s kids and parents expect. For that reason, he has assembled a team of writers, artists, and animators to begin generating kosher DVDs for a new, younger generation. Currently, Torah Treasure is working on 3 new DVDs for this year alone and, with the support of the community, hopes to double or even triple that number annually. In the meantime, children can go online to a safe, wholesome Jewish environment by visiting www.TorahTreasure.com

With much appreciation to Dovid and Malkie Smetana for sponsoring the site and continued support.
