Yoni Genut Releases A New Solo Album “Ois L’ois”

Yoni Genut has set out on a new path. With an impressive record behind him and over a decade of working with the band “Bein Hashmasot” (the spiritual rock pioneers), Yoni has proved that you could combine quality rock music with poems and lyrics from the Tanach. To date Genut has released three albums, two with the band “Bein Hashmasot” and one with one of the band members.

Genut has spent the last two years working on his solo album “Ois L’ois” with music producer Assi Ayalon. The album will include appearances by; Eyhud Banai, Erez Lev Aryeh, Shai Gabso, Arik Sinai and Daniel Solomon.

Each and every guest vocalist found a connection point in these special song. The song lyrics range between the songs from poems written by Yoni himself, (B’soif Hayom and Likrascha) and from Tanach/Tefilla (like “Veyeida Kol Poal” from the Rosh Hashanah davening, or “Beron Beyachad” from the piyut Simu Lev Al Neshama which he performs with Eyhud Banai). It takes a fascinating mosaic of lyrics, melodies, arrangements and performance to make up one of the finest albums of Jewish music had known.
