Exclusive: Menachem Toker coming to TV Channel 2
Menachem Toker, the famous Haredi radio broadcasting star, is coming to Channel 2. Almost twenty years after Toker began his career in Arutz Sheva, Toker signed with the Channel 2 network franchise on presenting the first program ever on television about Yiddishkeit.
The program will be aired every Friday afternoon, with a repeat program on Motzai Shabbat, and on the Israeli satellite channel in the U.S. This will be the first program on Yiddishkeit ever aired on Channel 2 and will include the weekly Parsha, consumerism, styling, Chessed, music, Yiddishkeit, Jewish cooking, and more. Among the presenters of the different items will be Shaul Yahalom, Glatt Food, Tovi Spiegel and consumerism of the sector, Rabbi Neria and the Parshat Hashavua, items about Tzav Piyus, artists, singers, and a main guest who will share Yiddishkeit and tradition with the viewers. There is no doubt that a giant achievement accomplished by Toker is the acceptance by the franchise that Toker will have the veto on who will be interviewed and will have the final word on the topics aired on the program.
Toker refused throughout his career to present items and programs on television. This time it seems that he could not refuse an offer that combines a Kiddush Hashem with ratings. This television program will be in addition to his popular musical site on the internet – toker.fm – and to his franchise on religious programming on El Al.
