With the arrival of the New Year, which brings with it hope, dreams, prayers and faith on the way, comes “Chaim Chadashim,” an exciting duet between Moshe Dweck and his son David, written and composed especially in honor of his Bar Mitzvah.
The connection between Rosh Hashanah and the Bar Mitzvah takes on a special meaning here: Along with the year that opens, David also embarks on a new path, a path of maturation, dreams and faith.
This is a soulful intergenerational duet that speaks of unconditional love, of the deep bond between father and son and of every parent’s wish that their son will follow his path, fulfill his dreams and know that he always has a home and love.
Young David surprises with a sincere and mature performance, and proves that talent is inherited.
And in the spirit of Rosh Hashanah, “Chaim Chadashim” transforms from a personal prayer of a father to a prayer of all of us, a year of good beginnings, joyful tidings, love, faith and hope for better days.
Thus, between the blowing of the shofar and the opening of a new page, “Chaim Chadashim” arrives just in time for a song that reminds us that every year is an opportunity for a new beginning, and every beginning is a reason to believe in goodness.
“My child, always remember and aim high
My father, I am strong enough to touch the stars
Here comes a new life to do us good
A beautiful world awaits, the doors open with love”
Moshe Dweck performs in Israel and around the world from small synagogues to huge stages and festivals. He is currently working on a new album with original songs and additional musical surprises.
