TWO hundred children from eight London Jewish primary schools have come together to record a charity CD for Camp Simcha.

Shir B’Yachad has been produced by Eitan Freilich, who volunteers for the charity as a “Big Brother”. He personally approached the schools – Hasmonean Primary, Mathilda Marks Kennedy, Menorah Foundation, Noam Primary, North West London Jewish Day School, Rosh Pinah, Sacks Morasha and Wolfson Hillel Primary – and recorded their songs earlier this year with his team.

Each CD sold will raise funds for Camp Simcha which offers practical and emotional support services for families with a sick child.

Mr. Freilich said the recording experience was “unforgettable and it was a pleasure working alongside such talented children, from an array of different Jewish primary schools within the community”.

It was also an unforgettable experience for the children.

Nathan Weiz, 11, from Noam, said: “We felt like a real choir. The coordinator was kind and relaxed and we felt part of a professional project.”

Six-year-old Ari Fruhman from Menorah Foundation School, added: “I really enjoyed the experience. I liked it when they put headphones on my head. It was very exciting.”
