DREAMS IN STATIC
Dreams in Static conjures up the aesthetic of James Bond, Prefuse 73, & Pulp Fiction. Each song is the soundtrack to a film in a genre of its own. This is music that exists beyond pop and yet overflows with it. Their debut album, “Serene Poetic” strikes a balance between Diwon, a Brooklyn-based hip-hop producer, and Dugans, a multifaceted guitarist-composer from Texas. Using live drums, samplers, analog synths, electric pianos and guitars, Dreams in Static transcends genres and breathes new life and depth with each subsequent listen. The album teems with life, beauty and depth; it’s an instrumental masterpiece that resurrects live instrumental music and guitar-based symphonies. It pops in a world where popular music has been left in a state of static.

LION OF IDO
After Billboard Magazine, world tours, and radio hits the New York based Lion of Ido have perfected the art of creating attention for his music. With their latest ‘Free EP’ entitled “Hard to Love” the band has merged the 60’s sound of The Beach Boys and The Beatles with modern emotional music like Counting Crows, Ben Folds and Weezer. The song, “Of What We’re Made” was recently featured in a Binghamton University national ad campaign. Soon after, the band toured the east coast in Ido’s 1988 Lincoln Town Car, which can be seen in their music video for “No Air”. Perez Hilton gave the video cover of the Jordan Sparks top 10 hit a thumbs up, and the video has received a great deal of buzz in online communities. Having played with everyone from We Are Scientists to Lupe Fiasco, the sky seems to be the limit for Lion of Ido.

PITOM
PunkAssJewJazz as it’s moniker, Pitom is one of those galactic events
that has a one-in-a-gazillion chance of happening and actually does.   The band’s angular improvisation gives a whiff of the avante garde, but bandleader and guitarist Yoshie Fruchter’s compositions are catchy enough to grab even the most inexperienced listener’s attention.  The tunes range from speedy surf punk to lilting ballad, and using influences from Zorn to Zappa to Ziggy Stardust, Pitom constructs a rockin soundscape that will keep the listener’s ears peeled for the entire performance.
