Reb WHAT?!?
That’s right, people don’t need to fit into neat boxes and music shouldn’t. You might recognize Michael Nadata‘s voice from the dancing puppets on the youtube hit video “Jewish Fraggle Rock” but he is excited to present his life work in earnest here.
Reb Michael’s progressive sounds and soulful vocals will meet you where you are at and take you to the place you want to be. Reb Michael is a true renaissance man, both an educator and an artist. Written over the course of a decade, the sounds on his debut album “Ana Hashem” are as varied as the experiences they reflect.
When not composing music, Reb Nadata is a Torah scholar, avid runner and proud father of four beautiful children.
Ike walkover describes the debut album as “Fresh new music encompassing elements of contemporary & traditional Jewish music that engages & uplifts the listener”.
Sruly Meyer categorizes the genre as pop jazz fusion. There are so many diverse genres and elements because Nadata was raised on pop/rock/jazz/classical/folk/bluegrass/blues/soul etc. So many of those influences emerge throughout the album.
Ana Hashem will be in stores the next few, is distributed by Aderet music and will be available for digital download on MostlyMusic.com.
