A song written in the shadow of war, a music video that turned battle footage into Lego figures,
and a message that comes straight from the heart of a reservist.

Singer and songwriter Mati Shriki releases his new single “Mizmor L’Toda” – a work that was born from the war period, from a personal and real place. The song is based on Psalm 10 in Tehillim, and brings it to you as Shriki experienced the war days up close: with the pain, with the loss – and with the miracles.

“I was also drafted into the reserves in the Home Front Command, I served almost 200 days and was exposed up close to the magnitude of the miracles that surrounded us. Despite all the losses and pain, it is impossible to ignore the miracles and success. I felt that this is the thing that connects most to the Mizmor L’Toda – it is true gratitude that is based on the reality that is happening before our eyes,” says Shriki.

Alongside the song, a unique clip created by Shriki himself is being released, combining real photography with AI technology – which converted all the war images into Lego figures. The choice is not accidental.

“I created the clip out of a desire to make the message accessible to all ages, even to children who may be less exposed to war. Everyone needs to know that our soldiers are heroes and loved, and I chose a sweet and kind way to express this, using Lego figures.

To me, Lego is like our reality – the understanding that God is the one who leads everything permeates more than ever. He builds reality, sometimes putting it together and sometimes taking it apart. We don’t always know why, but we trust him and are sure that all His actions are for the best. All we have to do is try.”
