Moshe Yaakov presents: Singer and composer Shaya Gross together with the Romimu Choir in a performance of the humble tune “Ich Zich Dich“, composed by Rabbi Cheskie Weisz. It is a work that manages to touch the depths of the heart, with a delicate combination of authentic Yiddish emotion and verses from Tehillim, with Moshe Yaakov‘s precise musical arrangement giving the song a rich and moving envelope.
The lyrics express a deep longing for closeness to Hashem: “Ich Zich Dich” – “I seek You”, as a direct echo of the verse “I seek Your face, O Hashem .” This is not just a song but a real prayer, a silent cry of the soul, which expresses humility, longing and an uncompromising desire to feel the presence of HaShem , even from a distance.
