Having already conquered music stages and dance floors, singer Fishi Rechtshefer releases his new track, “Dacho Dchitani“.” The concept originated during a wedding performance on
Isru Chag. After a week of reciting the Hallel prayer, the words “I was pushed hard, that I might fall, but the Hashem helped me” (Dacho Dechitani Linpol, V’Hashem Azrani) kept playing in his mind—until he set them to a well-known niggun from the Grodzisk Hassidic tradition. The combination resonated immediately, and what began on stage evolved into a song that audiences now request time and again.
Beyond the joy and the upbeat rhythm, Rechtshefer infuses the song with a message of faith and encouragement: in any situation or challenge, even when it feels like you are on the verge of falling, you can turn to the Almighty and seek His help. It is a song for moments of celebration, as well as for times when the heart needs strength—whether at a wedding or while navigating personal struggles. Menachem Bernstein handled the arrangement, recording, and vocal production, while the Yedidim International Choir provided the backing vocals.
