The “chassidic” music of today is great and popular, the Jewish musician of today has to diversify his wares and go between the styles.
And wisdom – the great wisdom is to be contemporary in the taste of yesteryear, that is: to sing and stay Jewish, to sing and remember what the origin of Jewish melody is, to remember that the melody lifts us up above the ground and does not necessarily lift the body but lifts the soul and brings it closer to its Hashem.
Singer Avremi Roth is now releasing a new single called “Shir Shel Beit Hamikdash” – a song whose only name can move the capillaries of the soul to anyone with emotion and even those who are not.
