Musician and songwriter Aaron Razel releases a new and exciting single – a historic duet with his old friend, Adi Ran. The song, based on the Ramchal’s fiery lyrics in the book ‘Mesilat Yesharim’, is the first single from Razel‘s new, vibrant, Jewish album, expected to be released in time for the holidays of Tishrei 5777.
“In honor of my brother Yonatan‘s recovery and the great miracles that happened to him,” Aaron reveals, “I felt this was an excellent opportunity to release a song of joy – true and refined joy. When I wrote the melody, I wanted to bring Adi’s unique spirit into the Ramchal’s words – in his voice, faith and expression.”
The melody was born from Razel‘s daily study of the book ‘Mesilat Yesharim’, and this is already the third song that he has grown from this study, after the hits “Mi She’Ohev Et Boro” and “Mivchan Ha’Ahava.” Aaron Razel is not only a performer – he is the creator, composer, producer and host of this project from beginning to end.
Adi Ran‘s hosting closes an exciting circle: two artists who, about three decades ago, together led a quiet and profound revolution in Jewish music, and reunited entire generations of listeners with longing and excitement. “They broke all the conventions we knew – in the lyrics, “With their melodies and their special spirit,” describe many who grew up on this music.
“HaSimcha Ha’Amitit” is not just a song – it is the first glimpse into a complete, deep and Jewish album that Razel has been building in recent years and is waiting to be given the stage it deserves.
