Aaron Razel continues to consolidate the album that is on the way (15!), and offers another summer duet – ‘MeAta Ve’ad Olam‘. This time he hosts Aviya Sherman.
The combination between the veteran and beloved Razel and Sherman, one of the most prominent and refreshing voices in the new generation of Jewish music, creates a bouncy, sweeping song full of energy and power. The connection between the two was born two years ago. Razel and Sherman were invited to perform together in the south, rehearsed and prepared to perform, but just before going on stage – an alarm sounded and the event was canceled. The personal and musical connection between the two remained and even deepened, and has now led to the current collaboration.
“I wrote the chorus of the song many years ago,” reveals Aaron. “For a long time I was stuck with a chorus without a home. The situation remained that way until I decided to sit down at the piano and look for the missing part. Together with his father and producer Avi Tal, a refreshing composition was born and a song full of an optimistic and unifying message. A message of joy, faith and confidence in Hashem, which is suitable for anyone who sets out on a journey, a mission or a battle. Hashem is with us every step of the way from now on and forevermore.”
“I was greatly privileged that Aaron, a legendary and groundbreaking musician whom I grew up with, invited me to record a duet with him,” says Aviya Sherman. “I hope that the message of the song will reach and strengthen the people of Israel with confidence and faith.”
“MayAta V’ad Olam” is the third single from Razel’s new album, which is expected to be released in time for the upcoming Tishrei holidays. The current duet joins the successful collaborations that were released domestically: ‘V’Asu Li Mikdash’ with Rabbi Shlomo Katz, and ‘HaSimcha Ha’Amitit’ with Adi Ran.
Avia Sherman’s debut album, which was successfully recruited in the ‘Headstart’ project, is also expected to be released during the coming year.
