The Chazzanus and Classical Jewish music groups in Israel put together an authentic musical event last week in the opera house in Tel Aviv.

The “Geala” celebratory event of the B’neivail Asor Chazzanut group did its first concert in Tel Aviv, and merited the participation of the great international Chazzan Yitzchak Meir Helfgot, accompanied by baritone Chazzan Colin Shachat, as well as other promising Chazzanim, among them students of Maestros Elazar Brok and Avraham Kirschenbaum, along with singer Yonatan Razel.

The Concert in Tel Aviv was orchestrated by Maestro Eli Yafeh with with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, 70 musicians! Together with Helfgott, the focus of the concert was “Yom Yerushalayim”, together with video clips and other multimedia productions. Together with the chosen pieces of Chazanus, they performed various Israeli and national pieces, and all of them with their own respective symphonic arrangements which received a lot of praise from the crowd.

The night was capped off at the end with a special performance of Chazan Helfgot and Yonatan Razel singing Yerushalayim Shel Zahav.
