Not Just A Performer But A Creator As Well – Avi Miller With A Elul Hit: Rotzim Lachazor

Avi Miller doesn’t need an introduction. This young artist initiated his musical career with captivating performances of R’ Hillel Palei’s music and sold hundreds of albums; performed with the best singers of Jewish music; was invited to perform in countless yeshivas, camps and gatherings and is the favorite singer of Jewish music in bar-mitzvahs, weddings in Israel and abroad, and to host countless special Shabbats. Avi is releasing a new single with, for the 1st time, a melody composed by him “rotze lachazor, abba taazor” (“want to repent, father help”).

We asked him what prompted an artist who adopted the mainstream music style, to break into a bouncing song style. Miller who accompanies special overseas group trips replied: “in one of these trips, while stopping on the side of the road for a short break, a special atmosphere was created and broke loose this melody and lyrics within me. In no time, the whole group joined in and from that moment the song became the anthem of the journey and we kept singing it”.

Upon returning to Israel, Miller approached, as always, the legendary producer Shua Fried. After weeks and the best performers’ rehearsals, the song was finally recorded, while Avi Miller with his energetic voice performs the finale that pulls the listener to new highs.

“I have a desire to give the public a personal gift from me for the High Holy Days. Usually at this time of the year, songs evoke feelings of the heart for repentance, and I wanted to try to actually stimulate the heart with joy. If I will be able to influence even one Jew in the same manner that this text and melody affected all of us in that journey, this will be my reward”.

It should be noted that Avi Miller is currently working on a new album which will be published next year, God willing.
Song lyrics: “abba taazor, eleicha rotzim lachazor, taazor taazor, et haolam laavor” (father help, to you want to repent, help help, the world to pass).
