Mesivta of Waterbury Alumni Release Debut Album “Stay With Me”

It’s finally here! The Mesivta of Waterbury is so excited and proud to present to you, “Stay With Me”, a brand new album consisting of 12 original songs written and performed by the yeshiva’s students and alumni.

Almost three years ago, this album was nothing but a fantasy, a pipedream that we didn’t think could or would ever happen. But Hakadosh Baruch Hu put the right people in our lives at the perfect moment, giving us the tools to create something that we are so excited to share.

To many of you reading this, the fact that we are releasing an album is not necessarily news. But I would like to explain why. I would like to do so by starting what this album isn’t. This album is not an attempt to show the world our talent, nor is it an attempt to publicize the attributes of our great yeshiva. This album is not an attempt to make a statement and it is definitely not for the purposes of fame or honor.

What this album is, is an attempt to reach and inspire. To help people connect and stay connected to things that are important and true. We are trying this because these songs are what helped us do the same. These melodies and tunes were written by people who are on the path of growth and engaged in the battle of life. The voices you hear belong to individuals that are sitting in Batei Midrashim throughout the world at this very moment, fighting to stay on the path of Hashem. Which in today’s crazy and complicated world is no easy task.

Throughout this entire process, we made sure to keep not only the songs, but the music, real and authentic, because that is what we are all striving to be in this world. And we sing these songs on our collective and individual journeys in our attempt to do so.

We are so proud to present and share our music with you and it is our wish and hope that we use this powerful gift and tool of music to connect ourselves to each other and to the one above. ~We hope you enjoy.
