It was an historic morning of Jewish radio when Nachum hosted the legendary Country Yossi and Heshy Walfish live at JM in the AM to celebrate the release of the new Country Yossi and the Shteeble Hoppers CD, “Ride Again.” They played the new songs and had a hilarious conversation covering everything from the best cholent in New York to the hazards of riding a horse into the Holland Tunnel. 20 years in the making, This new CD holds a place next to the classic Country Yossi CD’s for both its humorous parodies and its poignant original songs. JudaBlue – Forty Days

Based out of Silver Spring, MD, JudaBlue is a group of friends that got together from different high schools in 9th grade and began writing music and playing shows. We are now all in either Yeshiva or Freshman/Sophomores in University. We come from all sides of the religious perspective, ranging from Frum from Birth, to Baal Tshuva to Convert, and we all practice on different levels, but we all have the same goal of spreading light and exposing people to their own religion in a different way, a way that gets people thinking and understanding that Judaism is approachable by all and can even be connected to through a rock concert. We mainly sing and write about our personal experiences and struggles that we deal with daily in regards to connecting to Gd and Judaism in this modern world. We also take segments from Torah and bring them down in a personal way and retell the stories through our own interpretation, as in the case with the single off EP, Forty Days, where we talk about Noah’s emotional struggle to maintain the existence of life on earth. They like to categorize ourselves as Epic Jewish Rock, but we often venture out of our genre and into Funk, Raggae and Jazz. Songwriters- Shlomo Gaisin and Yaniv Hoffman. JudaBlue was the winning band by the Five towns Battle of the bands as well as having one of their songs, “Im Lo Aleh” featured on the Jerusalem United CD with many other established Jewish artists.

In honor of the upcoming New Year, religious artists joined together from all ends of the spectrum to produce a song of love and prayer to the Creator.

Everybody sing the “Ovinu Malkeinu” – a song request prayer for unity and love for the new year.

Prayers help at any time, any time, but nothing is like the days of the month of Elul, at the end of last year say a prayer to the Creator to help protect the people of Israel save the troubles and pains from all his enemies.

Or as he wrote the words inspired by Yishai Lapidot Israel prayer known that all pray on Rosh Hashana:

“אבינו מלכינו אתה הכל יכול,
ראה מה מבקשים בניך,
אבינו מלכינו אין בנו מעשים,
אבל זכור אנחנו ילדך…”

The HASC concert is one of the most anticipated and well established annual musical events of the year. Now entering its 24th year, the producers, Suki & Ding, present an exciting new theme!

This year, HASC’s annual concert is billed as “A Time for Duets!” While no information has been released yet regarding who will be performing at this year’s new platform, they have released the initial poster with an all new original logo as well as the date and location.

Coming off their sellout shows in Europe & Israel this summer, Miami comes back to the NY-NJ area Chol Hamoed Succos for 2 World Class High Energy Performances of THE MIAMI EXPERIENCE 2.

The new shows will take place Sunday eve. September 26 at the beautiful Colden Center in Queens College at 6:45pm, and Monday eve. the 27th, 7:30pm at The State Theatre in New Brunswick NJ, the same fabulous theatre of last years MIAMI EXPERIENCE 1 show.
