Singer and composer Udi Davidi is in the final stretch towards completing his sixth album which will be launched God willing Purim. About a month ago Davidi released the song “Hazman Achshav[1]” which was very well received by fans and radio stations alike. Now, he is releasing the theme song from the new album Mechakeh LeSheket.

The new album will feature ten songs, which were written and composed by Davidi himself along with his wife Lila. The arrangements and musical production were created by the masterful Gilad Shmueli who recently produced the album The Idan Raichel Project, Idan Haviv and Gilad Segev.

Mechakeh LeSheket is a song of watching and yearning for perfection and peace in the good times yet to come. “With the craziness of life we are drawn into a place that is far from quiet, and sometimes we forget to enjoy the little details, enjoy the smile of a child blowing pelats off flowers in spring. When everything calmed down around us we recognize Hashem within us, eager to reach this state of tranquility, we quietly pray for that time” – says Udi in the song.

“מחכה לשקט הזה שיעטוף אותי, ויגיד לי הנה זה בא / מחכה לרוח הזו שתנשוב על פני, ותרגיע את הסערה / אני בוער מבפנים וכל תמונות חיי, עולות מתוך הבעירה / מחכה לשקט הזה שייתן מים קרים, לנפש עייפה…”
